The Morgan Hill Freedom Fest is truly a hometown celebration dedicated to preserving our national and local heritage and celebrating our freedom as citizens of the United States of America. We are the largest annual event in Morgan Hill, put on entirely by volunteers, and our award-winning parade is the largest privately organized parade in Northern California and the official 4th of July Parade of Santa Clara County. Celebrated in our historic downtown core, the Community and Cultural Center, and the Outdoor Sports Center, the Freedom Fest's six events deliver a spectacular, fun-filled day every July 4th holiday. FAQs
-
Yes, but the helper of the runner needs to peel off just before the finish line so the automatic timer will not detect a non-competitor.
-
Yes, we love that you are looking to teach future runners the joy of running!
Please start your run in the back of the pack and be aware of runners around you to avoid potential injury to you, your stroller passenger, or other runners.
-
You may run with a well-trained dog on a leash no longer than 6-feet. No off-leash dogs are permitted. Any participants running with a dog will be asked to start the race in the last wave so as not to interfere with faster runners.
This is due to USATF rules.
-
No, registration is online only which ends on July 3rd. Register at www.runsignup.com.
Note that the course is not easy to get to when all the roads around it get closed. Allow time to make all the logistics work to enable you to arrive at the start, in time.
-
No, you will get run over by faster runners!!
-
Yes, there are 2, one at the start and one at the approximate 1.5-mile mark. The one at the start will be unmanned during the race, the other will have volunteers to help you.
-
No, you will block the faster runners and they may get mad. Stay to the outside, especially at the beginning of the race.
-
All bibs and Tee Shirts will be handed out on the day of the run or Saturday, July 2nd at CommonWealth Credit Union, 400 Tennant Station, Morgan Hill, CA 95037 between 10am - 2pm or on the day of the run in front of the City of Morgan Hill Development center at 17575 Peak Ave.in Morgan Hill.
-
The most exciting is the start/finish line or somewhere along the course. See Course Map. My suggestion is next to one of the announcing booths, see the parade map.

Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE to another person or another year. If you do not participate you may take the amount of your entry fee as a charitable donation on your income tax return. The Freedom Fest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
